Become a Volunteer
If you like good music and good conversation, you could learn how to be an announcer and radio producer!
2WEB offers aspiring radio presenters a unique opportunity, namely that we offer training at no cost.
Most volunteers want to present a music program, however, we can offer training in all aspects of radio broadcasting, including (but not limited to):
- Copywriting
- News gathering & presentation
- Production of sponsorship announcements & other on-air elements
We’ve trained people as young as 12, so age is not a concern. If you’re keen, give us a call to discuss your desires and we’ll arrange training sessions at a mutually convenient time.
Some of our past volunteers have moved on to paid positions at Outback Radio, and many of the people trained at 2WEB have also moved on to commercial radio, the ABC and television.
If you want to help out behind the scenes, there’s plenty of other opportunities to help and learn too!
For more information, send us an email or give us a call on (02) 6872 2333 during business hours.
And if you’re all ready to take the plunge, you can go straight to filling out our online volunteer form!
2WEB Program Sub-Committee
Have your say and give us ideas on how to further improve our programs! The sub-committee members give input via meeting or teleconference, every 3 – 4 months.
If you would like to volunteer, or join the sub-committee, give us a call Monday – Friday, during business hours, on (02) 6872 2333.
You can also grab a form below, or pop in and fill one in at the station.
